June 122GHz - 248GHz Contest 2018
The weather was hot and with relatively high humidity the excess losses at mm-wave frequencies were well up so no great distances were worked. G0FDZ/P operated alongside G8CUB/P as the third station active in this years event. With roving this enabled John G8ACE/P to make 4 contacts to win 122GHz, whilst honours were shared on the higher bands. Overall G8ACE/P is winner and Roger G8CUB/P runner up.
At the distances involved in this contest 6 digit locators are not sufficiently accurate, so for 2019 it is proposed that 8 digit locators will be used for exchanges and logging.
